Hello!

I just had a verruca electricauter today. Sounds sophisticated aint it?

Lol no. It is actually embarassing for me eventhough there's nothing really to be embarassed about.

So, easily you can google what verruca is. I have a looot of verrucas I have no idea why and how i got them. Doctor said i have tens (twenty-ish) of them. And she also said that it was caused by infection and occur more easily if you have wet skin surface. I have either extremely dry or extremely sweaty palm (foot and hand). It doesnt really bother me too much except for during high school exams when I needed to continously wipe my sweaty palm so that it didnt wet my exam paper. But, it hasnt really bothered me so much (medically speaking).

The thing about verruca is; it LOVES wet surface. That's why I have plenty. Some of mine were already painful because its depth and thickness (which i think put a pressure on other areas on my toes). so i went to see a doctor. A dermatologist to be precise. Well, actually some nurses suggested to go to surgeon. But I needed to confirm with dermatologist because before today, I was only self-google search-diagnozed.

And there I was. In the dermatologist room. She was surprised by my feet. Oh by the way it was only my right foot. After signing for financial thingy (thank god I have a good health insurance covered by my company), they (dermatologist and a nurse) treated my foot. They injected anesteshia on each VERRUCAS! and it was hella painful. I had a trouble breathing in and out eventhough they told me to. But well i tried. Like seriously tried. Haha. After that they treated my verruca using electrocauter and perhaps some kind of blade? It didnt hurt because of the drug. But I could pretty much smell the burnt skin so it was kinda horrifying for me.

They treated the 4 big verrucas. The painful ones. But to treat the small ones, they said they werent able to inject anestesy on each of them. So they wanted to electrocaute me without it. I said well okay if you did it quickly. But YOU WISH. As soon as the tool landed on my foot, I pulled my foot in shock.

Nah. I'm good. I'm done for the day. Bye thanks it was painful.

Lol so yeah

They stopped. I need to control the after-ops foot after 1 week. And i need to change my bandage and put some medication on it for 1 week and no water for my feet. (Lol. I'm sure I can handle water from outside. But remember, my feet are SWEAAAYTY). Wish me luck guys!!!

Ps : I really wish my mother were there as when it comes to doctor, I am always so scared.

Good morning everyone!

So, my name is Rachmi and I am a drilling engineer. I studied Petroleum Engineering in Institut Teknologi Bandung and graduated on July 2016. After that I joined national oil company for internship in drilling department for 10 months, then moved to multinational oil company, as a drilling engineer.

So, how do I get here?

Back when I was in senior high school, I was that nerdy kid that no one knew about. Like literally, I was such a nerd that even my class leader didn’t know who I was until 12^th grade. We happened to be in one class and he innocently asked my friend who I was, he thought I was a new kid. That was kinda painful and embarrassing.

Then, I wanted to be different. I didn’t want to take any mainstream major. And I wanted it to be a difficult major, I wanted to prove myself that I was worth knowing for. Well, I was so naïve. But there I was, so determined to prove to the world I was something. I decided to take a faculty of mining and petroleum engineering in one of the best technical institute in Indonesia.

Well, I failed the first attempt. I cried hard and loud. But I needed to get up. Who else would help me if I give up? I took extra classes seriously and took the second test. I made it. I made it. I MADE IT. Finally Alhamdulillah. And I became the only female from my school to join the faculty.

I passed the first year with several hiccups, especially on my calculus and (perhaps) physics grade. Those aren’t my cuppa tea. After the first year we will be put into four different majors; mining, petroleum, metallurgy, and geophysic. I was determined to take the petroleum engineering major, which was the best at the time amongst other majors so my bad grades were concerning. But alhamdulillah, I was blessed and I got the seat.

There were three sub-majors in my faculty : reservoir engineering, production engineering and drilling engineering. We studied all those three. But the funny thing is, of all sub-majors, I used to hate drilling engineering, It’s my least favourite subject at school. I was more of a reservoir and production person. Why you asked? It’s mainly because drilling is a whole different world to the rest sub-majors. It’s not very petroleum engineering-ish, more of a mechanic thing. It involved a lot of mechanic and physics formula that are not as complicated as reservoir and production calculation but really isn’t my thing. Considering I had bad grade on calculus and physics, this wasn’t helpful at all. And on top of that, drilling world, due to what I thought was really field-based, is really dominated by male population, while reservoir and production, not so much.

But it’s like a curse you know. What you hated becomes what you have to do now. The world really is mocking me. By the time I graduated, the oil price had been falling down, and I mean really hitting the bottom for 2 years. It was such a bad time for my class overall. And somehow, I got accepted in the biggest drilling service company in the world, which was very field based. But I hated it. The whole assessment process only took a day. Next day when I got accepted, I even cried due to me hating being away so much. And despite of the big offer, I declined it. I was not ready and prepared.

Then my CV was empty for one solid month. I was frustrated. I felt really ungrateful for the turned down offer. A lot of what ifs scenario were playing in my head. What if I took the job. What if I didn’t turn it down. What’s the worst could happen with me being on the field. Those were all very intoxicating and unhealthy for me. I looked for so many jobs. I even applied to other jobs other than in oil and gas industry. Honestly, I was only looking for hope. To keep my spirit up. I went to so many interviews and get declined countless times. However I stick to one belief : God was testing me, whether my effort was big enough to get the job I dreamed of. I wanted to prove to Him that I really meant it. I really was determined. And I really wanted a job. I was so hopeless until one day I got email from national oil company and they said I got the internship position in drilling department.

Drilling… well again, life was mocking me. But this time I was really happy. I was excited. There was no field job whatsoever. Everything seemed really great. But one thing. They said this was not their way to employ people permanently. So literally there was NO chance for me being employed. And, I was only an intern, there was no responsibility whatsoever and the money wasn’t that great. It was below standard minimum paycheck for Jakarta. And instead of paycheck, they even called it “allowance”. But I took it anyway, I needed hope and there He answered.

Oh, for your note, I lived with my parents, and still am. It’s a pretty safe and economic condition for me. First day, first week, first month passed by. Literally, I asked my mentor the same thing everyday “What can I help with today, sir?” and the answer was always “Take your time, there’s nothing much to do here, just enjoy!”. I was confused on what I had to do every single day. There were only really little amount of jobs given to me. So what did I do everyday? I looked for another job. I applied to so many jobs I lost my counting. I went to so many interviews. And hey, I never hide anything from my mentor. He knew all the process. He even encouraged me to look for another job.

Until one day, I registered myself to one of the multinational oil company as a completion engineer. There were two positions available : completion and drilling. I didn’t choose the drilling because I still prefer production – reservoir thing. And completion was production-ish. After registering myself, I actually didn’t really think about it. I made it the first assessment which was online. Then I went through the second which was screening interview by phone. There were only about 20 people made it to this stage. By this time I was just noticing that hey, I might actually secure the job. But I wasn’t that confident due to countless job application failures. And then I made it to next stage which was technical and HR interview. I was so nervous but Alhamdulillah I managed to answer some questions pretty confidently. Thanks to the internship, so I didn’t forget about drilling stuff. Then I got the call again. They wanted me to do the final assessment day. So I went through FGD, presentation and interview. I felt really intimidated during the HR interview. I felt so hopeless and I thought that was it. There was no way I got accepted. But… God said differently. I got a call a week later and they said I got the job. I was soooooooo thankful, grateful and excited. I cried due to the fact it was my last months from the end of contract as an intern.

Couple of weeks later, they told me :

“Hey, by the way, you are gonna be a drilling engineer ya. Not a completion engineer”

Now that’s amusing.

Halo!

Haha ini super random ya tapi mau ngasi tau aja buat yang mungkin belum tau dan semoga membantu :D

Jadi semenjak tahun lalu (atau yah nyaris dua tahun lalu) aku sudah resmi melepas status mahasiswa dari Bandung dan kembali lagi ke habitat ku di Bekasi. Dari Bandung yang super nyaman, kos di tengah kota dan kemana mana gampang, nyemplung ke Bekasi yang aduh udahlah, mau jalan tuh males karena panas, dan kendaraan umum juga agak susah, plus kalo ke tempat agak jauh harus nyambung berkali-kali ya.

Nah,

WORRY NOT MA FRIEND!

I’m here to save you (if you happen to be save-able) hahahahha

Oke, aku akuin emang di Jabodetabek udah banyak opsi pilihan kendaraan ya untuk pergi kemana-kemana termasuk ke tempat kerja. Mulai dari KRL, angkot, bis kota, dan busway. Dan ya, mereka itu sangat amat membantu dalam menyediakan angkutan umum yang terjangkau. Tapi, pasti tau dong kalau kalian mau naik kendaraan kendaraan di atas, pasti harus bersaing bersam puluhan bahkan ratusan penumpang lainnya, apalagi di jam-jam ramai kaya pergi ke kantor. Dan itu ga terlalu nyaman kan?

Nah! Aku punya solusi yang (mungkin sebenernya tidak etis?) membantu banget buat kenyamanan dan kantong. Yaitu :

BIS DEPARTEMEN PEGAWAI NEGERI!

Hahahhah jadi gini, dari awal aku kerja, paling ga ada kali tungan bulan aku naik kendaraan umum yang bener-bener umum. Sisanya pastiiii naik bis departemen. Dan ini tuh sama sama menguntungkan, bagi penumpang dan supir bus nya. Karena biasanya sifatnya omprengan dan pegawai aslinya ga penuh penuh banget jadi bisa ditumpangin sama orang-orang biasa.

Bis departemen tuh bener-bener ngebantu banget deh pokoknya. Karena kamu bisa bebas tidur atau santai ga perlu waspada ada copet dan teman-temannya. Makanya, tau rute yuk! Setahuku, hampir semua bis departemen ada dari barat, timur, utara dan selatan jabodetabek. Nah, kamu bisa numpang tuh. Tapi, harus cari yang searah dan sesuai kea rah kantor ya! Tanya aja supirnya. For your info, banyak departemen negeri yang kantornya di daerah Jakarta pusat. Jadiii, bagi kantor-kantor yang DILEWATI oleh bus-bus tersebut, boleh numpang!

Contoh, dulu aku numpang bus departemen perhubungan atau departemen dalam negeri dari jatibening ke kantor ku di Kwarnas (Jakarta pusat) tapi banyak orang yang turun di daerah Sudirman, Karet, Matraman, dll pokoknya yang dilalui oleh si bus tersebut. Nah, untuk kantorku yang sekarang berada di TB Simatupang, aku numpang sama bus departemen pertanian deh. Karena dilewatin sama bis ini. Naaah, gitu deh! Gampang dan nyaman banget kan? Asal berani nyetop bis dan nanya sama supirnya, pasti dibolehin kok! bayarnya juga murah! ga lebih dari 10.000 lah sekali trip.

Halo!

Apa kabar hehe

Kalo kenal aku, (gak ya? makanya kenalan. ga deng hahahahahahha) sangat disayangkan, mataku minus (hiks). Dan daridulu aku adalah pemakai setia kacamata maupun softlense. Yah, lebih sering softlense sih sejak kuliah, karena lebih pede dan ga berat kaya kacamata. Biasanya aku pake softlense yang dari melawai yang paling murah dan ga pernah macem macem. Tapi, ada satu merk softlense yang udah lamaaa banget pengen beli tapi belum sempet beli karena takut aneh dan ga cocok. Dan finally, aku punya cukup niat dan keberanian dan kesempatan (softlense lama expired) buat nyobain softlense ini. Softlensenya adalah Nobluk! Hahhahahah asli ketinggalan banget ya udah basi-_-

Ada yang bikin aku seneng dan ga terlalu seneng sama softlense ini. Langsung aja yuk!

My thoughts

Nobluk Grey

Seriously, I was really excited ordering Nobluk Grey. I had been waiting for an opportunity to buy it anyway. Dan pas nyampe langsung coba donggg. Secara warna, oke banget secara independen asli. Disini aku ngomong independen karena di kulitku ga oke, bikin mataku kurang pop. Walauuuu di foto keliatan oke. Apa karena aku gapake riasan mata ya. Kesannya tuh lesuuu banget. Dan agak pucet. No no. dan secara kenyamanan, aku kurang cocok karena bikin kering banget. Sehari harus netes mata minimal dua kali.dan gampang bikin merah. Padahal aku pake softlense new look dari melawai yang jauh lebih murah dari nobluk. Dan ga pernah netes mata seharian hahahha. Jadi.. kurang suka huhu. Mungkin bakal kupake kalo ada acara acara tertentu aja kali ya.

Plus :

- Warnanya baguss natural

Minus :

- Ga cocok di warna kulitku

- Bikin mata kering & agak iritasi

Sooo, good day everyone!

If you know me (probably no haha), I’ve been having blackhead and whitehead issue since my elementary school year. I know, crazy right? Maybe it wasn’t too severe but I just can’t. I remember my nose turned brown due to scratched and teared up skin because I squeezed the whitehead and blackhead with full force. Haha okay sorry it’s gross and you shouldn’t do that (supposedly)

Well, bottom line is, I’m annoyed so much and I’ve been looking for the best way to make em disappear.

Eh okay, sorry, lets swith to Bahasa Indonesia ya!

Salah satu dari metode yang kucoba adalah dengan biore pore strip. Nah tapi banyak banget yang ngerasa ini ga seefektif itu. Ga ngangkat sebanyak itu. But i got the answer! At least, metode yang ku pakai cukup ampuh di aku buat angkat komedo.

First of all, personally aku ngerasa kalo biore pore strip ini tiap variannya beda keampuhannya. Dan menurut aku, yang paling juara adalah varian charcoal yang warna hitam. Tapi bisa aja karena sugesti soalnya kan komedo warna putih jadi kalo di varian lain yang warna putih ga terlalu kelihatan. Haha

Oke, jadi biore pore strip ini hasilnya juga langsung kerasa, KALAU kita bisa gunain dengan benar. Entah kenapa, dulu hasil yang aku dapetin (komedo yang keangkat) kurang memuaskan a.k.a terlalu sedikit compared to visible blackheads yang kerasa di hidung. Nah sebenernya aku punya tips and trick kalau mau pake biore pore strip ini which is :

- Scrub dulu mukanya. Terutama di bagian hidung. Merk bebas asal ga usah terlalu keras yaa man teman. Pastiin kulit matinya udah keangkat.

- Pake clay mask. Ini lumayan ngebantu buat narik si sebum ke permukaan dan ngelembekin komedo komedonya

- Basahin wajah dan temple si biore pore strip

- Keringin. Harus kering yaaa kalau ga sayang porestripnya mahal hahhahah. Anyway kalau aku suka diem depan kipas sampe setengah kering terus baru bobo bobo di Kasur sambal nunggu fully kering

- Cabut dengan gerakan dari bawah ke atas. Inget : dari bawah ke atas ya!

Voila! Kalau buat aku personally cara di atas ampuh banget buat ngangkat komedo buanyak. Ehehheheh terus jadi puas tapi geli gitu sih kalo orang lain liat haha
